My sincerest condolences to Val, Thiess and the entire family. I met Sadye through her daughter, Thiess, when I first arrived in Flint, MI while attending school. Although I haven't seen her in many years, her warm laugh and smile are still some of my sweetest memories during that time. And just like back then, the lyrics of the Spinners' song still rings true:
"Sadie
Don't you know we love you
Sweet Sadie
Place no one above you"
